Elmwood Church offers Sunday School for all ages
at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings
from September through May.
Elementary Age Kids meet in Classrooms A, B, and C:
This year's theme: FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT and GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT
Theme verse: "And the child grew and became strong;
he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon him." Luke 2:40
Galatians 5:22 says, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." This year our children will learn how the Holy Spirit helps us choose to act like Jesus. We will discuss how the Holy Spirit helps us in times of trouble by handing us the proper “tool” or fruit. We are excited to also learn about the gifts of the Holy Spirit such as prophecy, tongues, healing, discernment and more! Each week, nursery through sixth grade will meet in their Sunday School classrooms at 9:00 a.m. and will gather as a whole group in the triple Sunday School room from 9:45 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. for a short time of prayer, offering, memory verses and songs! Our goal is to surround our children with God's Word. We will be memorizing Scripture and singing Scripture while focusing on what the Bible teaches us about His fruits and gifts.

Confirmed Middle School Kids, High School Kids and College Age meet in the Youth Room:
We are reading "Just Walk Across the Room: Simple Steps Pointing People to Faith" by Bill Hybels.
Pastor Hybels shows you how to follow Jesus' model of personal evangelism by "living in 3-D" -- developing friendships, discovering stories, and discerning appropriate ways to leave your comfort zone. Learn to share the good news of redemption with people living far from God --- and across the room.
Adult Sunday School meets in the Elmwood Conference Room: We are currently doing a mission development study by RightNow.org called, "Lead Beyond Our Walls".
How can we lead our people to serve beyond the walls... beyond the ministries inside the church... and take their faith into a world that desperately needs Christ? Let's journey together! We also offer a variety of Bible Study opportunities.
