Elmwood Young Adults Bible Study The Elmwood Young Adult group meets the first and third Friday evenings from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. for a time of fellowship, Bible Study, discussion and prayer. Our first meeting will be on FRIDAY, October 21st.
This year, we will be meeting at the various homes of our group members. Please call the church office to find out where we are meeting. We will be doing a study based on Bill Hybel’s book, “The Power of a Whisper: Hearing God, Having the Guts to Respond.”

Elmwood Women's Bible Study
"Breaking Free: The Journey, The Stories”
Please join us for this in-depth women's Bible study by Beth Moore which draws parallels between the captive Israelites of the Old Testament and New Testament believers in Jesus as the Promised Messiah. Beth looks at the Book of Isaiah through the lives of the kings who ruled during the prophet's ministry. These kings exemplify many of the obstacles to freedom with which we must deal. Using Scripture to help identify spiritual strongholds in your life, no matter how big or small, Beth explains that anything that hinders us from the benefits of knowing God is bondage.
Classes begin on Tuesday evening September 6 and will run through November 15.
We meet in the Fireside Room at Elmwood each Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

Prayer Opportunities at Elmwood "And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints." Ephesians 6:18
Elmwood's Prayer Team operates via email and telephone. When you have a prayer request, please call the church office at 612-788-9408 and your prayer request will be sent to the Prayer Team.
Ladies Prayer Group meets at the church every Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. You are welcome to join us! We pray for the church body, missionaries, events in the bulletin and personal requests, etc.
Intercessory Prayer time is available in the Elmwood Sanctuary every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
Elmwood Prayer Shawl Ministry Next meeting will be
Monday, Oct. 10th at 7 p.m.
The Prayer Shawl Ministry team meets about once a month. Anyone who is interested in helping to create prayer shawls is invited to attend. Experience is not required. Donations of yarn (3-4 skeins of one color) or gift cards to Michael's, as well as your prayers are appreciated.

Minnesota law allows parents of public school students (such as those at neighboring Wilshire Park Elementary School) the opportunity to have their children "released" during the school day to attend religious education classes. Released Time Bible Education classes, sponsored by Crossroads Ministries and taught here at Elmwood by Marty and Thelma Gavic, are held each Wednesday beginning at 1:45pm, October through April.
